Coral Greyhound Racing Offers

coral best odds guaranteed promotionDespite not being the most lucrative welcome promotion on the market in terms of its value, the Coral sign-up bonus is extremely cost-effective.

It comes in the form of a free bet deal and is worth £40, however, the initial amount required to unlock the bonus is fixed at £10, which means that you receive a massive 300% increase on your first wager. What makes this bonus even more attractive and fantastic value for money is that the bonus free bet is rewarded as x4 £10 free bet tokens, so rather than simply receiving a single £40 free token that must be redeemed all once, you receive four individual free bets, and thus, four chances of placing a winning bet.

To redeem the bonus, simply register an account with the bookie, make a deposit using a valid payment method and place a £10 on a valid market. Unfortunately, Coral do not offer a wide selection of bonuses for greyhound racing. This is somewhat disappointing, especially when you consider the operator’s resolute commitment to the sport, however, other than a continuous best odds guaranteed promotion on all British & Irish dog races (which most operators offer as standard now anyway) there’s not much on offer here in the way of special dog racing promotions. Despite still being one of our top recommended operators for greyhound racing, this is definitely an area where there’s room for improvement.

Coral Greyhound Betting Odds

Despite falling a little short in some of our testing categories, odds prices is one area where Coral didn’t disappoint. With an average odds price offering of 81.42%, only Paddy Power and Ladbrokes can claim to offer better value than Coral, and even then, there’s only a difference of 1% between them. Whilst it is true that the pay-out prices for greyhounds aren’t has high when compared to other sports, Coral can boast to offering some of the best value numbers in the market.

Coral Greyhound Live Streams

With a gigantic offering of over 2,000 sports fixtures per week (that’s well over 75,000 per year), live streaming is one area where Coral really stands out from the rest. When it comes to greyhound racing, Coral support stream all of the races on which they offer bets, meaning that all the BAGS and evening races you see on the Coral site at Stadiums such as Hove, Monmore, Newcastle and Towcester are available to watch.

To view Coral live greyhound streams you have to have first be logged into your account and have placed a bet of at least £1 on the race you wish to view. Once you’ve done this the race will become available and can be viewed on your desktop or on your iPhone, iPad or Android mobile device.

Comprehensive UK Race Selection

Much like Ladbrokes, Coral’s greyhound race selection is limited to UK & Ireland, meaning that punters miss out on the chance to wager on races taking place in Australia or the US. This isn’t so bad though, as the coverage of races from the British Isles is wide-ranging, allowing you to wager on near enough all BAGS and evening races from all the major UK tracks such as Henlow, Sheffield, Sunderland and Crayford.

Mobile Betting

  • Bet on Mobile!

As one of the biggest, most recognisable betting brand in the UK, you would expect Coral to have a first-rate mobile betting app. Fortunately, the operator does not disappoint, with a mobile app that’s just as polished as the desktop site. Some of its most attractive features include a quick bet slip feature that lets you toggle seamlessly between browsing and confirming your wagers, a neat thumbnail live streaming window that allows you to navigate around the site and whilst keeping your greyhound races in full view, and a slick, easy-use interface. The app is completely free to download and is available from the iTunes store for Apple users and available for download directly from the Coral website for Android users.

High-tech Platform

When first landing on the Coral desktop home page it can, for more experienced punters, appear a little daunting. Compared to some of the other operators features in our review it can be said that the site appears a little crowded, thus making it a little trickier to navigate. Once you get to grips with it, however, things become a lot more straightforward and navigating your way around the home page and the greyhound platform starts to feel more natural.

When you land on the greyhound platform the next 4 live races, along with the next virtual races that are scheduled to begin are visible at the top of the page. The section below is dedicated to showing all the UK & Irish races that are available for betting throughout the day, while the toolbar located just above allows you to toggle between specials markets, tote pools, future races and more. There’s also a handy search toolbar where you can hone in and carry out a super-specific search for your desired race or competitor.

Minimal Extra Features

Truth be told, we were rather disappointed to see that Coral was somewhat lacking in the extra features department. Aside from the results centre, the live streaming platform and the audio commentary available courtesy of Coral Radio, there really isn’t too much else on offer here to merit any extra praise. If you’re on the hunt for detailed form guides, race predictors or a live streaming archive, we recommend trying William Hill.

Safety, Security & General Operator Info

Customer safety and security is considered to be a #1 priority at Coral. The operator has taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that punters are free to gamble with complete peace of mind. Firstly, the company hold a license with both the UK Gambling Commission and the Government of Gibraltar, which guarantees that all the online and offline betting products are fully regulated and tested for fairness. Second, the certificate from the world-renowned Norton antivirus and internet security software company certifies that all of Coral’s online betting services are fully encrypted and kept safe from malicious internet activity.

Coral is one of Britain’s long-standing bookmakers with considerable influence in the greyhound racing business. The company provides significant funding to the sport and owns two different racing tracks in Brighton & Hove and Romford. Now, after much deliberation, Coral have joined forces with their long-standing rivals, Ladbrokes in a business merger that is guaranteed to have profound and long-lasting effects on the UK gambling industry. The merger was completed on 2nd November 2016 and is reported to be worth over £2.3bn.

Good, But Room for Improvement

Despite being such an influential bookmaker in the greyhound business, it must be said that we were just a tad disappointment with Coral’s online greyhound betting services. The odds levels are indeed noteworthy and the live streaming service is comprehensive. However, when it comes to extra features, race coverage and the number of promotions on offer we do feel as though there’s room for improvement. Don’t let this put you off though; the great value welcome bonus, along with the mobile app offer more than enough incentives to choose Coral as your preferred greyhound betting operator.
