Dogs that are aged between 15-24 months are eligible to participate and is a one-off annual greyhound event. Currently, it is held at Central Park Stadium in Sittingbourne, Kent, on a sand surface.

This race was seemingly a stepping stone for a legend to be born. With a career of 49 starts and 26 wins, 9 seconds, and 6 thirds, his 2009 year with live on for the ages in the world of greyhound racing. Although his prime didn’t last for so long, he retired in 2010, he wowed punters for the years he was active and will live fondly in the memories of those who won of the back of him.

Historical info

Like many of the big events in the greyhound world, this event has changed location. It is currently held in Central Park but spend most of its life being run from Wimbledon. The first event took place in 1957, long before Racing Post Juvenile betting sites had been invented! In 1964 following a name change, it became regarded as a competition that is a showpiece for future category one runners.
